INITIAL SKETCH

Challenge

The bag’s rigid, sculptural silhouette required internal reinforcement to hold its shape, while still allowing the flap and gussets to flex naturally for ease of use.

Solution

Using salpa as reinforcement behind the leather exterior, incorporating strategic cuts and framed sections to provide structure where needed, while preserving flexibility in the gusset and flap fold.

Challenge

Designing a sturdy yet elegant handle. The handle needed to complement the bag’s structured silhouette—rigid enough to retain its shape when lifted, yet flexible enough to rest flat when not in use, while ensuring user comfort and visual balance.

Solution

Instead of a fixed steel strip, talyn was used to achieve the desired structure. This material allows the handle to stand upright when pulled but gently flatten when released, offering both functionality and refined aesthetics.
