ABOUT
EMILY E. SUTEDJA

Leather Bag Artisan
Emily Sutedja is a leather bag designer and craftsman based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with a background in pattern making, prototyping, and creative development.
She completed her training at SCHOLA Academy, where she studied leather bag making under the program run by Scuola del Cuoio in Florence, Italy. Her training focused on traditional techniques, construction methods, and quality standards that honor the heritage of Italian leatherwork while encouraging experimentation and self-expression.

"My approach combines thoughtful design with precise construction and an understanding of the behavior of materials. I’m particularly interested in how structure and softness can coexist, exploring movement, silhouette, and the tactile quality of leather to create purposeful, refined pieces."
