Creative Director Simulation

For this project, I was tasked with imagining myself as the creative director of a major fashion house and designing a capsule collection. I chose Bottega Veneta as my brand and drew inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of kintsugi, the art of mending broken pottery with gold, celebrating imperfections as beauty

The collection, “Looking East,” explores the idea of beauty born from flaws and repair, aligning with Bottega Veneta’s values of quiet luxury and craftsmanship. I drew visual and structural inspiration from Japanese ceramics, everyday household items, and the elegance of traditional Japanese knots and bows, which influenced the hardware detailing. Each of the four bags in the collection seeks to merge refined Italian leatherwork with poetic Japanese sensibilities.
